Your vet will need to see your dog and will prescribe eye drops that help activate the dog's natural tear glands so that they make fluid again. If these don't work there are a number of eye drops that dry slowly with which you can treat your dog.

Dry eyes in dogs can be extremely painful for them. If left untreated some cases could cause blindness. It should be determined by your vet what is the cause of the dry eye. Some causes could be diabetes, hypothyroidism, distemper, immune system problems, drug toxicities, and allergies. Dry eyes usually can't be cured but can be treated.

Most Veterinarians recommended the use of eye drops made especially for animals. The commercial eye drop preparations are formulated to match the Ph balance of a dog's natural excretions.

It could be allergies that is causing the dryness. You could try putting eye moisturizer drops in their eyes. I am not sure if you could use Visene? You should get the dogs checked out by a veterinarian.
