What can be done to help autistic people who have no friends?

Check for art workshops that cater to developmental disabled children. Some workshops are for both kids with DD and kids without, so they can learn about each other. There are camps for autistic children as well, so check to see if they are for summers only. Also, there are schools that enroll children with some form of autism.

The twins may be comfortable with the few relationships they do have. As one of my autistic students once said to me (and I paraphrase) people are pretty much a pain. But the school where I taught did establish a buddy club that worked. "Regular" students buddied with special students.

All I can say is that search on a local newspaper or online about families with autistic kids. Search for communities online for that cause. In my area here, they usually have this get together thing so the autistic kids can meet and play. I am sure you will find one.

First you must know the parents. After you know the parents, go talk to them and see if you can take the twins to the park.
