Most likely the crown will need to be replaced. If decay is present, your dentist probably can't tell exactly how much decay there is unless he takes off the crown. Most of the time, he will damage the crown in taking it off and therefore needs to be replaced.

You have to replace a leaking crown. It is not good to ignore it because you will get decay. The decay can move quickly because a leaking crown causes a suction motion. This action keeps pumping more bacteria under the crown where it is leaking. The expense will only get bigger if you wait.

Visit dental surgeon. Follow his treatment / medecine. Change your habits / diet as suggested by dental surgeon. Make new crown id suggested by dental surgeon.

Most of the time crowns do not leak. If something is wrong with the crown then you should go back to the dentist who did the crown and have them replace it.
