There are many bugs that eat cabbage plants. Some of them are Onion Thrips, Cutworms, Flea beetles, Cabbage Loopers, Aphids etc. A few ways to get rid of them are: Fungicides, Biological pest control, Repellents and traps. A botanical insecticide 'Rotenone' is safe and can be used to get rid of most of the cabbage plant eating bugs.

Beetles love cabbage plants. Use a mixture of two tablespoons dishsoap to one quart of water in a spray bottle , will rid you of the bugs in several applications.

Planting a garlic barrier usually works on most pests and it looks nice. Mint also makes a great plant to put next to cabbage. It also repels mice.
