The Roman Catholic faith is an important Italian religion. Typical symbols include a crucifix, the sign of the cross, statues of Mary, etc.

The typical Italian symbol is Arlecchino a mask full of different colours. It represents the Italian creativity. Italians are known to be servants under the foreign dominion as arlechino was the servant of two lords. The three colour flag typically depicts this concept. A boot is also shown as the Italain peninsula's boot
