There are two type of trees that can be referred to as Japanese plums. One is the Ume, or the Sour Ume. Its fruit is used to make the Japanese pickled treat Umeboshi. There are a few different types . One is the Japanese plum tree which is composed of giving off flowers. The other type is the apricot tree. The both types of trees need special care and attention because of their delicate natures. Cultivate on a regular basis and water very carefully.
