Buddhism holds that suffering is due to craving. The path of the Buddha reduces craving and so ends suffering. Buddhism teaches wisdom to remove the influence of distractions, a way of life that does not harm to any living creature, and mental discipline to strengthen the mind. Buddhism has methods of mediation and lifestyle practices to support its spiritual life.
