What are the symptoms that somebody is dying?

My grandfather isn't looking too good.

When someone is dying, you may notice that they are losing weight rapidly. They may have a pallor to their skin or difficulty breathing.

I worked in a nursing home and saw this a lot.Usually two to three days before death, the person will stop eating and drinking. He usually sleeps a lot. A few hours before, the death rattle usually starts. This sound is comparable to a merble rolling in a plastic cup.

Symptoms of an oncoming death can include more frequent sleeping, loss of interest in food and fluids, having a cooler temperature, changes in skin color, rattling sound in lungs and throat, bladder and bowel changes, disorientation, surges of energy, and a change in breathing pattern.

If your grandfather has an illness, you have to check the vital signs like pulse rate, heart beat and breathing.
