Some of the basic symptoms are change in apetiete either increase or decrease. There is change in dogs attitude, a more protective nature,swelling of abdomen, enlarged mammary glands. In some cases development of nesting behaviour is also seen. Restlessness is also observed during the first few weeks. At times there is a lot of weight gain.

There are several early symptoms that your dog will exhibit if pregnant, they include: eating less, tired, increase in the size of their nipples, weight gain, and a thick/firm abdomen.
