Polar bears have a thick coat made of hollow hairs that insulate them against extreme cold. Their white color provides camouflage to allow them to sneak up on their prey. Polar bears also can store fat and go for long periods without food.

The polar bear has thick, white fur that keeps them warm and also disguises them against predators. Their skin is black to absorb light from the sun as well as thick for insulation. Thick pads on their paws give them traction and the size of the paws help them swim.

One adaptation is that polar bears store several layers of fat, called blubber, which keeps them warm. They also have black skin and transparent fur (which appears to be white, but is really clear). The black skin attracts and absorbs sunlight, and their fur acts like thousands of tiny mirrors, reflecting that light onto their skin to warm them.

Well they're having a hard time adapting to climate change and actually cannibalizing other polar bears. But their white fur helps them blend, and their special skin keeps them warm.

The polar bear has many special adaptations including thick fur to stay warm, white fur for camouflage, paw pads ideal for walking through snow, claws curved to dig through ice, ears and tails shortened to minimize heat loss, jagged teeth for eating meat, and black skin for collecting sun light.

Polar bears have webbed feet to enable swimming and a better chance to catch smaller, quicker prey. They also have a waterproof, insulated coat to guard against the arctic chill!

You have to provide soft substrates, lower the temperature in the enclosure, chill the pool water, provide more furniture, provide an area where bears can construct day beds, give them food that they usually eat.
