Clams have a nervous system made up of ganglia connected by nerve cords. Ganglia, knot-like nerve bunches, help the clams sense things, like how heat and cold, light and dark, and how wet or dry it is. They can even sense if there is a mate nearby.

The antenna in the calm is the sensory organs. These organs are found inside the right portion of the calm. The organs can sense danger,noise and movement around it.
