A registered nurse's salary depends on the level of education (Associate Degree, Diploma, BSN, MSN (graduate degree), RNP (practitioner) and/or PhD), experience, responsiblities and geographic location. Areas with a higher cost of living pay higher salaries. Salaries for registered nurses range from low $40K to low $70K, depending on these variables.

It depends on the location, hours worked, private vs. public hospital status, etc. In the midwest, a cardiology nurse working 40-50 hours per week can expect to make about $70k.
