You will have to follow the official rules to volleyball. There are so many I could spend a long time typing them all out. The best solution is to go to a search engine, look up the information you desire, and you can find pdf files that explain all the league rules.

Depending on the type of league, there are a specific number of players per team. One player who serves must serve from behind the back line. Ball must be served underhand or overhand, and the ball must also be clearly visible to your opponents at all times. Served ball may graze net or drop to the ground for a point.

The server must serve it over the net. Ball can't hit ground. You can hit it off the net. You can hit it from the outside of the lines.

Six people are on the court for each team. One person serves (can't touch the net) and then you have 3 hits on each side to get the ball over.
