Lobbyists for the Republican National Committee routinely need to connect with other lobbyists, policymakers and assorted politicos. Parties, of food, drink, music and dance, allow lobbyists ample opportunity to socialize. These parties also help energize and reward loyal workers for the RNC. These parties are frequently at night, so that lobbyists can schedule other daytime engagements.

Lobbyist sponsored parties are often used for influence peddling and networking within the RNC. Corporate lobbyist groups often hope to sway Republican legislators to pass laws in their favor.

Lobbyists in general are individuals or firms that are paid to persuade the powers that be to vote or side with the lobbyists' benefactors. In the case of the RNC the lobbyists are in place to discredit the opposing political party and draw attention to the shortcomings of proposed regulations that are not in line with the RNC's beliefs.
