Being red shirted means that you have not played in one of your years of college and can thus play in your fifth year of college. One of the previous years you were probably injured and watched from the sidelines. There are no exceptions that allow for a 6th year of play.

I believe you mean red shirt. This term refers to the awarding of an extra year of college sports eligiblity if the atheletes doesn't play one of the seasons. A player may be allowed to play in a sixth year of college if they suffer a serious injury which keeps them from playing for more than one season.

The red shirt football rules for college in a 6th year are if the player was redshirted his freshman year and then gets hurt the next year. He would then be aloud to play a total of 6 years.

The rules are basically the same as rubgy rules, you are gaining points by placing the ball in the center of the opponent goal. Standard Rules for football with points, however there is no physical touching like in football.
