The most popular Jon Voight movies that I know of are, of course, Midnight Cowboy and Tomb Raider where he plays the father of his real-life daughter Angelina Jolie. Midnight Cowboy came out in 1969 and won 26 awards.

Personally, I don't know what are the most popular movies he was in, but I loved him in the Sarah, Plain and Tall series. He was also very good in the role of Nicolas Cage's father in the National Treasure, movies one and two. I'm sure you can look up his filmography.

Midnight Cowboy, Deliverance, Ali, Coming Home, Runaway Train, Anaconda (not an award winner but I liked it), Enemy of the State, Pearl Harbor, Varsity Blues, The Rainmaker, The Revolutionary, Zoolander, September Dawn, Glory Road, The Manchurian Candidate, Pride and Glory, and even though it was TV check out The Five People You Meet in Heaven.

Some popular Job Voight movies include, Transformers, Pope John Paul II, National Treasure, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Pearl Harbor and Catch-22. National Treasure went on to have a sequel which also feature Jon Voight in it reprising his role from the first film. Doesn't matter what Jon Voight is in and how small the role he is always promising.
