I'm sure the Smithsonian Museums are right at the top of that list, followed by the British Museum. The Louvre in Paris would also be included, along with the Uffizi. One of my personal favorites--the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago!

The most famous museums in the world are The Louvre in Paris, Tate and Tate Modern in London, National Gallery in London, Museum Of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Vatican museums in Rome, the Uffizi Galery in Florence and the Prado Museum in Madrid.
