Probably the biggest scam of today is the employment scam. People who claim to be working for an agency advertise bogus jobs. The victim pays money for expenses for a job overseas. The "job recruiters" often go to the victim's home. Naturally the jobs don't come through. Many times the criminal gets caught because he's traced after complaints come in.
