What are the health benefits of cinnamon?

I hear it helps with blood sugar.

Cinnamon is like many natural products. There have been some early reports which link it to lower blood sugar, however that is not yet proven. As well, the quantities required to have benefit is high. And, it has to be natural cinnamon, not the refined version in stores.

Claims that cinnamon can decrease blood pressure and blood sugar are still being researched on. Few pilot studies showed that cinnamon can lower the blood pressure and triglycerides, but a large-scale scientifical evidence is yet to be found. It's still too vague to answer this with an indefinite "Yes" or "No".

Among other benefits, cinnamon has been shown to regulate blood sugar, making it very beneficial to those with Type 2 Diabetes. In addition it is shown that it can lower LDL cholesterol.

I've heard a lot of good things about Cinnamon lately. I've never heard that it helps with blood sugar, but I know that it is a good antioxidant.

It does help to increase regulation of your blood sugar. It can also help regulate the yeast in your body. It increases your immune system's ability to fight infection and resist illness. Increased memory is also an added benefit!
