Traditionally, the groom's parents are responsible for the rehearsal dinner. These days, however, families often split all expenses or couples pay for their own weddings. Honestly, anything goes in today's environment.

Traditionally, the groom's parents are responsible for the rings, the rehearsal dinner, and the honeymoon. In some regions, the groom's parents are also responsible for the alcohol at the reception. In modern times, it is increasingly becoming more popular for the bride and groom to take responsibility themselves.
