What are the field hockey rules?

This is a team sport where 11 players from each of the competing teams is on the field. There are also 5 substitutes on each team. During play you can only hit with the side of the stick that is flat. You are not allowed to kick the ball. No shoving is allowed.

Each team is comprised of 11 players. A match between two teams consists of two halves of playing time of 30-35 minutes each. Usually played outdoors on artificial turf on a 100 yard long field.
