A baseball swing is generally quick and straight across the plate, whereas the softball swing will be slower and angled upwards to accommodate the direction of the pitch.

There are really no real differences in a baseball swing and a slow pitch softball swing, to the best of my knowledge.

In baseball, the ball is traveling at over 80 Miles a hour and is a small ball. In softball, the Ball is larger and not as hard and obviously not as fast. So You need to have a more precise swing for base ball for one.Secondly, Softball swings are closer to a bunt.
