Only monkeys have tails, webbed feet, and slanted nasal openings. Apes are generally larger bodied than monkeys, and possess larger brains.

Apes and monkeys are both primates (like humans), but apes are bigger, without tails, and have a more human-like appearance. Monkeys look more like other mammals and have a tail.
