Every mastiff I have been around, whether it's an English Mastiff, Italian Mastiff, or American, are all typically sweet-tempered dogs. I've owned lots of dogs in my life, and each of them has been a blessing. Mastiffs are large dogs, and gentle despite their size. They will be protective of your children and family, as well as your home.

With proper training the can be a sweet, loyal and affectionate pet. If untrained, the can be very aggressive. Obedience training is great for this breed.
