What are the best ways to curb your appetite?

I'm hungry, but I know I won't be able to eat for a couple of hours--what should I do to not be so uncomfortably hungry?

Some people really don't like the feeling of a belly full of water, but it doesn't bother me very much. I would probably drink a very large glass of water. It isn't bad for you at all, and it may help for a little while.

Sometimes, people can mistake thirst for hunger. Try drinking a glass of water to help alleviate hunger and also stay hydrated. Another way to try curbing your appetite is to chew a piece of sugar-free gum. However, it is not healthy to completely starve, so if you are hungry, try eating a light snack.

That's really tough, actually. Eating pretty much anything, including gum, mints, or candy, would probably just make you more hungry. If it is convenient, I might try to take a nap. Sleeping until food is available might be the easiest way.

I found that sometimes when you think you are hungry it is your body telling you something else is wrong. Most of the time it is because you are thirsty. Try drinking a big glass of water. Sometimes you might be bored. Try getting up from your desk and taking a short walk.

Energy bars are a great way, but if you are hungry, you really should eat. If you can't eat for a couple of hours, my suggestion would be to drink a lot of fluids, and just relax.... by exercising, you are burning calories, and essentially, making yourself more hungry.
