The best feeding time would be around the same time u=you eat if you eat on the same schedule daily. Otherwise set him on a schedule of any time.

Feed your springer spaniel half their daily intake in the morning before you go to work and the other half when you get home from work.

If you work, the best times of day to feed any dog, are when you have about 30 minutes to spare after the feeding, for bathroom time.
