Whether or not your hair is thick you need to buy a product for what kind of look you are trying to achieve. A lot of specific styling products (such as for curling, holding, straightening, etc..) will have a type for a specific type of hair (straight, curly, thin, thick).

I'd stay away from anything that wants to add texture or volume to your hair, and stick with lightweight products that aim to smooth and shine hair.

For thick hair, Bed Head makes some great products such as Control Freak Serum, Superficial Smoothing Liquid and Superstar Blowdry Lotion.

Control freak shampoo and conditioner work really well on my thick hair. It helps to control any frizz and fly aways that I get. I also use a bit of After Party once my hair is dried. it is the best product i've ever used!

Bed Head products are all very strong, which is good for thick hair. Try the extreme hold hairspray, styling gel, and any of their shampoo/conditioner combinations.

Bed head makes a line called "silky sexy hair". It works great for thick hair. The shampoo and conditioner aren't a must, but any styling products (serums) work wonderfully!

I have very thick hair and none of those Bed Head products work for me. The palmade will be your best bet. I find that Got2Be hair glue works best.

TIGI BED HEAD Superstar line is perfect for thick hair. Try the Blow Dry Lotion, Shampoo and Conditioner in this line.

The control freak serum is great. Along with "some like it hot" which will provide protection from the heat and humidity.

The best products for someone with thick are deep conditioners, detanglers, and products to help style specifically (such as products that encourage hair to be styled straight or styled curly). For exact brands and products, it is probably best to examine your budget and local salons and beauty supply stores.

Head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner is great for thick hair. It's used for dandruff but gets rid of oily hair thats sticks together which often creates 'bed head hair'.
