The key to eliminating red meat from your diet is to do it slowly and gradually. If you drop red meat entirely, you will end up craving it because you are denying it to yourself. Slowly drop it from your food and switch to chicken, pork , or fish instead.

You shouldn't avoid eating red meats all together. You should still have red meat once in a while because it actually carries a lot of vitamins and nutrients that you need to be healthy and function. When you eliminate red meat you should explore different ways to prepare the other meats so you don't get bored with them.

you can substitute it with white meat (chicken or turquey), which is less fat; moreover, you can have other protein rich foods instead, such as cheese, eggs, tofu, beans. If you like red meat very much, do not buy it at all, so you will not be tempted. Look for new and savouring receips with white meat and experiment them.

You can replace the red meat with some fish or chicken. Also try to have soup once or twice a week because typically there is no red meat in soup and you will be healthier with more liquids in your diet. Before meals drink some water to fill up.

You should supplement your diet with dark green vegetables because they are high in iron. Also, morning star products offer great tasting vegetarian dishes that taste like meat!

Red meat is rich in B vitamins, so if you're giving up red meat you may want to take B vitamin supplements.
