One of the easiest ways to clean pleated blinds is to use the upholstery attachment of your vacuum cleaner. Brush the blinds while they are fully open while running the vacuum. You can also use a very lightly dampened sponge on any spots with excessive dirt. Finally use a dry dust cloth to wipe down the installation pieces.

I would first use a vaccum to remove dust, etc. Don't use strong cleaners because they will easily stain the fabric. Use a dry sponge or microfiber cloth. After removing the surface dust, just dampen the cloth or sponge to clean futhur.

a traditional goose wing would be useful to clean pleated blinds, also the small brush curtain attachment on most vaccum cleaners would make it easier and faster. if you have the time, a slightly damp cloth will remove dust and fly spot build up.

You can use a long feather duster and go over the whole blind. Also use a blind cleaner tool that will hit several pleats at once.

Normal dust build-up on pleated blinds can be easily removed with an anti-static keyboard or electronics duster. Heavier build-up caused by cooking oils or pet hair and dander may be removed with a soft, flexible silicon basting brush.
