I think you're supposed to use it with seafood.

Old Bay spice is normally used with seafood. It is popular with seasoning shrimp. Some folks use it to season gumbo with as well.

I make a crab corn chowder that I add about 2 tablespoons of Old Bay spice to the recipe, it is delicous.
