There is many great comedy movies of the 1990s, i would say that the best movies of the 90s would be. Dumb and dumber, any Adam sandler movie or Jim Carey movie for that matter. Tommy boy or Chris Farley movies. The best in my opinion however is American pie.

There are a lot of cult classice comedeys in the 1990's. Teenage comedies were very popular during that time and came into their own as a genre. Clueless, American Pie series, were example of popular teen comedies. There were a lot of popular dark comedies as well like Edward Scissor Hands.

The 90s were a great year for comedy, you have the movie dumb and dumber featuring Jim Carey at his finest, you also have the highest grossing comedy of the 90s Beverly hills cop, also Tommy boy and bill Madison and many others are excellent.
