What are some natural alternative treatments for aortic stenosis?

I have recently been diagnosed and don't want to take a lot of medicine.

My mom used diuretics to help with her symptoms but still had to have the surgery. I see someone here said digitalis would help too. I know a lot of medical issues do have natural treatments but it seems like aortic stenosis is nothing to play with. Ask your doctor.

Wow everything I've read so far including holistic articles and sites all recommend surgery. One did say that digitalis would give some relief so you could probably check into a natural remedy but the way it sounds is that you shouldn't do anything without the doctor okaying it.

There is the the Ayurvedic treatment which is a natural herbal treatment for stenosis but they state very clearly it only treats the symptoms and does not cure the disease.  add a comment

In order to get the best natural alternative treatment for aortic stenosis it is recommended that the patient visit a holistic practitioner face to face. Everyone has different symptoms and will consequently need a different therapy. The phone book or local magazines would be good resources to search for one.

There are no 'alternatives' if surgery is deemed necessary. Complementary treatments to help improve heart functioning and circulation or ease the symptoms but they only provide temporary relief. Please discuss any supplement or therapies with your cardiologist before you have them. - Complementary Therapist
