Some of the best and most educational toys available are those that require the imagination. They include construction sets, dress-up costumes, tea sets, dolls, figurines, wooden tools, vehicles, puppets, felt story boards, colouring and craft materials and of course, books. Regardless of the resources available, almost every form of play involves the imagination.

Imaginative toys can be the most simplest things. I find recyclables to be great ways to bring out a child imagination. Something as simple as a cardboard box is a great imaginative toy because there's so much a child can do with it. Other ideas are building blocks, legos, playdough, and pretend play things such as a play kitchen.
