What are some ideas for landscaping yards that are on a slope?

The easiest way is to cover the slope with plants that naturally spread out, like rosemary, iceplant, or ivy. Alternatively, if you don't mind the labor involved, you could terrace the slope and use each level as a separate gallery to showcase decorative plantings.

I found the answer to that problem was planting low growing yews. They are thick and hardy once they are established. Be sure to augment the soil as steep slopes are often eroded and water daily or when needed for the first couple of months.

If i were landscaping on a slope i would plant trees. Tress not only look good but they will also help stop the erosion of your soil. Another idea if you are trying to conserve water is to use wood chips. If you want it done professionally you should hire your neighbor.
