Desert colors - like pastels are common. Things that incorporate cacti or horses or desert scenes are common. Horns and skulls are used, though morbid. Maybe use imagery of cowboys or cowboy things, like lassos, branding irons, saddles, cowboy hats, boots. Try to avoid a lot of Native American imagery or items as they can be seen as being appropriative.

Southwestern decor generally has has Native American or Mexican themes.You would expect to find things like Hopi or Zuni pottery,Indian rugs,kachina dolls,cactus motifs,coyote motifs,and decor relating to the desert or desert animals.Colors found in a sunset are common.
