What are some good ways to change my backyard landscaping to make it more private?

Landscaping for privacy doesn't seem like it would be that hard.

Any tight growing bush will do the job. You can also build a pergola, and plant wines that will climb and decorate the space with beautiful flowers. Climbing roses, or wisteria can be pretty and give privacy.

Planting Arborvitae's make a great, natural, privacy border in your yard. They are fast growing, require minimal care and are pretty to look at.

Planting dense trees and shrubs create a nice, natural border to add privacy to your yard. Think about evergrees and other types of trees that have branches that go down to the ground so your neighboors cannot see between the tree trunks.

It isn't tough. Your choices range from chain-link fences or leafy trees -- which provide separation but don't obstruct views -- to board fences or high hedges, which completely block off the view.
