It is not easy, however if you take the time to read labels you can find some tasty trans fat free alternatives to your favorite foods and snacks. Many popular snack foods are now made in trans fat free varieties, including, Frito Lay, Annies, and Cliff Bars energy bars.

Just very carefully read the ingredients, not the notices on the front of boxes that say Zero Percent Trans-Fat. This is a rather deceptive form of advertising as you will almost always see partially hydrogenated oil as one of the ingredients. This is what you want to avoid.

Any kind of natural food will be free of trans fat. For example fruits and vegetables will obviously not have them. Most cereals like raisen bran, granola dont have them.

All raw fruits and vegetables are free from trans fats. Many natural food stores are full of aisles full of foods that do not contain trans fats. Even Wendy's has jumped on board the trans fat free train, and claims all of their menu items are free from trans fats.

With new regulations being passed at the moment, there is a ton of trans fat free foods out there; almost all cookies are, and now many chips, as well as microwave meals and, again with new regulations, even most fast food places are taking the trans fats out of the food.
