There are a lot of good programs that play mp3s. Windows Media Player comes with all PCs and works well for me. You could also download iTunes which works with Macs and PCs. VLC is a free media player that works with many audio/video files - including mp3s. If you're more technical-minded, I would recommend MediaMonkey - a free download.

There are many good mp3 players for your computer and they all do the same thing: play music. The most processor intensive is iTunes, and others include Winamp and Foobar 2000.

The iPod range of MP3 players have pretty much covered every base. Consider iPod Touch if you would like to play games, surf the web and watch movies.

Well if your are talking about a media player that will play mp3 then I would say go with Winamp. It is a free program that allows a ton of customization. With the right codecs it can also play a lot of other formats.
