What are some good ideas for centerpieces for a baby shower?

I don't want to use ducks or storks.

You can fill up baby bottles with many different things. You can use them as vases with pretty baby breaths and some miniture roses. They would also look nice filled with jelly beans or gummies. Little baby booties would look good also.

Stand diapers on their ends, tie with ribbon and build a pyramid to make a diaper "cake." "Decorate" with rattles, booties, etc. Cute and another gift for the mom-to-be.

Things that the mother to be can use. Diapers, pacifiers. Cheap stuff that can be found almost anywhere. Have a small branched tree and dangle pacifiers from it. Have another one be a castle made out of formula containers. a burping blanket that everyone can leave a message on at each table on top of something.

Make a candy bouquet - a simple clear vase/jar, and get lollipops, all-day-suckers, jelly bellys, and any other candy you like. Stick with hard candies, and keep the jar/vase small. To save on cash, have these as your favors/gifts that guests can take home with them.
