One of the classic children's favorites is "Goodnight Moon". Books with tactile features as "Pat the Bunny" and pages with animals as "Where's Spot" are wonderfully entertaining for the child.

Mick Inkpen's 'Kipper' books are lovely also 'Percy the Park Keeper' by Nick Butterworth. Children love 'Peace at Last' and 'The Large' series by Jill Murphy. Julia Donaldson is another author to look out for, 'The Gruffalo' being one of her books.
