1) Rainbows: splitting white light into different colours with prism. 2) Baking soda + vinegar = CO2 Test of different anti-acids - how much gas is produced from each tablet. 3) Basic chromatography: Stand strip of coffee filter in some water with ink spot above waterline. Watch the ink separate.

Blow up two balloons, one with a little water in it and one without. Put a flame beneath each. The empty balloon will pop and the water balloon won't!
