Receding gums are mostly caused be gingivitis. The gum line recedes away showing the root. Your dentist will measure your gums and check to seen how severe. It can be caused by brushing too hard or by the bacteria in our mouths.

Receding gum's can develop through old age however other situations can bring on this condition quicker like smoking and drinking acidic drinks and food such as wine, not brushing teeth.

Receding gums are when the gums begin to withdraw from the teeth. This is a sign of declining dental health. This is a first step to having teeth fall out. It can also accelerate existing cavity formation. It can be caused by lack of brushing as well as some medical conditions.
