There is tile, bamboo, vinyl, hardwood, cork, laminate, ceramic tile, and even concrete. To find which is best for you, take into consideration your current cabinets. Additionally you should create a budget this will help you to narrow down your choices.

When choosing a kitchen floor the surface must be durable and moisture resistant. Most people use tile. Two inch three inch four inch six inch and twelve inch tile are the most common sizes. You dont have to install it in the square pattern seen everywhere. You can go diagonal with a different tile set in the center etc...

Hardwood flooring is a popular choice, as is ceramic tile. Vinyl and laminate are less expensive options, they are easier to keep clean but not as durable. It really depends on your tastes in decor and your budget.
