Bishon Frises don't get injured any more than other breeds, it could just be your specific dog. Some dogs are more injury prone than others, and it can have nothing to do with breed. It could also be poor breeding, if the injuries seem to stem from physical problems rather than accidents.

The Bichon Frise is a very healthy dog but is susceptible to teeth, coat, eye, skin, ear problems, epilepsy and dislocated kneecaps.

Some dogs get to be more inquisitive hence are tend to get injured sooner. In general since a bishon frise is small they get their paws stepped on frequently. Other susceptible injuries are ear problems and dislocated kneecaps.

That usually happens because they are very large and heavy and it makes them very clumsy in turn this causes a great deal of injury to themslves.

Some dogs are just more curious than others and tend to get injured more. Since it's a small dog it could get hurt paws from being stepped on.
