Should you do running training every other day?

That depends completely on your goals and how used you are to running. If you are completely new to any kind of exercise, running every other day could be too much for you. For a recreational runner, the every other day plan could make good sense, but you don't need to religiously stick to it.

Its best to start slow with every 3rd day and slowly build up as you get use to it. If you start to fast then your body will never be able to heal properly.

You should definitely cross train with running. Running each day can be hard on your joints. Swimming, hiking, biking, and lifting weights are good ways to cross train.

I think that it is a good idea to give yourself a rest day from running because you need to give the muscles that you worked one day to rest.
