The main reason to ever diables BIOS Guardian is when you need to update or reflash bios. Bios Guardian prevents your BIOS from being upgraded. Keep in mind that BIOS Guardian helps protect your pc while BIOS is running. Just remember, when disabling BIOS Guardian, be sure to write down all of your settings.

The BIOS Guardian feature found on some types of computer acts as a method of protecting the BIOS against unauthorised modifications such as those which might be made by some types of virus or other malware. However, you would need to disable for activities such as updating the BIOS with new firmware images.

There is only one case the BIOS Guardian should be disabled: A BIOS Update. In any case: Never boot xp with BIOS Guardian disabled. It protects the bios from viruses.

You must make sure that once your problems are fixed that you then enable BIOS Guardian. What BIOS Guardian does is given added protection to your computer from a computer virus.

No, this particular program should not be disabled unless told to. If you are to disable the Guardian then it may cause you future problems.
