Use flat paint. It is less likely to show imperfections in the wall surface. Semigloss paint would be appropriate for wood trim and doors. Modern flat paints do clean well, but for walls that might need frequent cleaning, consider an "eggshell" or "pearl" finish, which would be shinier than flat but less glossy than semigloss.

I would use a semigloss as it will help hide minor imperfections in the wall. All walls even new ones will have minor scratches and dings and the semi gloss will help make them less visible.

You should use flat or matte paint for interior walls. Semigloss have a sheen or shine and are typically used for doors, trim, and cabinets in kitchen and bathroom. Glossy paint is not typically used for interior walls because it makes the room have a plastic or enamel look.

It depends on the use of the room and desired look. Semi-gloss is good for kitchen/baths, but does tend to highlight every flaw. Flat paint is just that: flat. For living areas and bedrooms, consider an eggshell finish, which is an excellent compromise.

I would use a semi gloss and this will allow the wall to not show blemishes and imperfections. Semigloss will also make smoother transitions in corners where moldings are not used. Make sure if you use it to also use it on the ceiling for a more uniform and even look.

Flat is fine for walls, but if the wall gets dirty,it's hard to clean.Eggshell finish is a great alternative to flat.Satin is best in kitchen and bathrooms.Semi-gloss shows imperfections on walls.

If you want a softer look use flat paint. If you want the walls brighter use semigloss. The shinier surface will reflect more light making the room appear slightly brighter.

It is up to you. Semi gloss is easy to clean and can add light to a room. Flat however is harder to clean due to the texture.
