Should I mail or hand deliver invitations?

Mail the invitations. It is tacky to try to save a few dollars postage by going around and dropping invites off at the door on peoples' desks. People love to get things in the post, something that is rare these days, so give everyone a thrill, slap a stamp on them and drop them at the post office.

It may be best to mail invitations so the guests you are inviting do not feel like they are being put "on the spot" and can respond at their convenience.

Mailing is very standard. Also, I would imagine some people might be from out of state, which would make it nearly impossible to hand deliver invitations.
