You should only worry if you experience severe pain which doesn't subside after a minute of stopping. If concerned, don't run fast for long; run short, fast intervals.

If you have no heart problems or risk factors, you should not worry. However, it is wise to get a complete exam by your doctor before starting any fitness program, including running. If your doctor finds that you have risk factors (high blood pressure, obesity, et cetera), he might restrict your running. Otherwise, you should not worry.

Moniter your heart while running, but do not worry since this will further increase heart rate. Your heart should pump consistently and never skip beats. Feel your pulse every 5 minutes or so and count beats per minute. This number should be consistent over prolonged periods of running.
