I wouldn't be to concerned as long as the doctor is aware of it. You will probably need to be monitored a little closer during the last couple of weeks and during delivery for an complications that might be caused by it, but it isn't a major issue.

Well there are no real ways to bring it to a normal position. But it is a concern. Having a low placenta there are several things to worry about. Hemorrhaging during labor, pre-term labor, and higher chance of infection once your water has broken. But I would not classify as critical. Just take it easy for the next month.

Your condition is know as plancenta priveia, at 8 months pregnant it could be a concern, because what it means is that your placenta could be delievered before your baby, causing your baby to be without oxygen for as much as 10 minutes. Your doctor is probably going to prescribe bed rest, for this last month.

I wouldn't worry to much as long a you let your doctor know and he thinks it fine, then every thing should be ok.
